feral art collective - it's not you, it's me.

feral art collective - it's not you, it's me.

I'm sorry to say, I've had to rethink my association with the 'feral art collective' and the con-signment shop knows as wicked "gallery".

there's seldom one reason why things like this happen.

like I said, it's not you, it's me. unlike most artists, I have expectations.

when I got involved it was a collective, not a gallery… this I was cool with. I liked the fact that the feral art collective was willing to go out there and get multiple spots to hang, like the museum show and even the street fairs for instance.

what started for me as a group effort to get noticed and make opportunity quickly turned into a project to promote one couple, and to help them exploit the 'collective' with a con-signment shop that takes no responsibility for the artist's work while in their possession, and without proper insurance to take in actual artwork.

regardless of any of that… the straw that cracked this fat man's back was that the gallery broke a piece of my art, an expensive piece of art. I tried to work it our with them, but instead of being helpful or even just apologize, they had an aggressive and bad attitude. not professional or compassionate, and a bit surprising coming from a group of so-called artists… I mean, the piece I sent was like a baby to me… it was a creation I valued and it being hurt, bothered me.

I made it very clear up front I expected insurance where ever my pieces were displayed/hung, as should any creator/artist worth their salt.

wanting to break from this kind of ilk without war, without having to explain to all in a blog, with full respect of the collective and its other hardworking artists… I didn't want to cause them any harm or negative attention. all I asked was that my art be returned unharmed and for them to not talk a bunch of shit about the who's and whys of what happened… for the better of the collective.

this didn't happen, I received my artwork last night and it was full of damage… one piece is destroyed. they did in fact talk a bunch of shit and the owner even blamed her husband's car wreck on me and my satanic ways.

I was lied to and my experience with wicked gallery has cost me money and destroyed some of my art.

don't know about you, but art supplies, and shipping, and all of that are hard enough. then there's the time it takes to find time to create, anyone who has, knows how precious that time is. to have someone not be considerate of that, to have them be rude and refuse to take any sort of responsibility is beyond what I will deal with and shouldn't be something any artist/creator should have issue with.

I do think there's a lot of great art and artists in the feral art collective… too bad they're caught up being manipulated for the better of a few/two, for the illusion that they will earn, for elaborate beer parties at a 'gallery' that yields very little, if any in sales, and only serves to entertain a bored housewife/mother.

this situation solidifies my belief that words are the biggest illusion… next time I'll ask for proof of insurance.

to sum it up… this is yet another example of the corrupting influence of money in the art world.

no, I comment using my name.
the irony that you are posting anonymously is lost on that thick skull of yours.

is this cole or her boy servant known as sam?

seems cole has made quite a few enemies and done more than me wrong.

this blog has brought out the emails. once I document the damage I'll be writing a letter to the editor of your local newspaper, the chamber of commerce the better business bureau, the local museum and more.

maybe next time someone gives you the option of peace over war you'll take it.

you should have taken responsibility for the broken and damaged art.

shame on you and your sham.

I'm butt hurt over my creations being damaged and destroyed... I'm butt hurt over all the time I've waisted and more than anything my stuff being treated so poorly... it suck to spend a lot of time and care making something only to have someone hurt it for no good reason.

this is more of a warning to others and or a wake up call to the folks behind this mess.

wait... I must be talking to cole and sam... of course, you've ignored any of the actual points to lay down more bullshit.

now I was discarded? more like disrespected.
I guess this is what court is for, right?

Shane and Christine both feed on negativity to survive. They are both con artists that need to find other people to take advantage of... that's how they live from day to day.

The fact that Shane would spend so much time slandering a respectable group of artists that are trying to give back to the community is quite sad and speaks volumes for who he actually is... a coward who hides behind a keyboard and a computer screen. He is kind of like a fat, middle aged, angry toddler.

Christine Clemmons is also a fraud. She searches out young people including but not limited to: artists, musicians and filmmakers. She then lies to them about how much she will do for them just to get her foot in the door and then, like a cancer, she attempts to destroy from the inside out. I have personally seen it happen. Christine actually stole over $200 from an independent film this past year. She claims to have an art magazine but it is mostly just an online asswipe that is full of typos.

So, keep on hating Shane... and keep on leaching Christine... it's what you do best.

Hugs and kisses.

not sure why you're lumping me with anyone else.... hmmmm.
could this be the filmmaking brownnose who, once he has milked the situation and or finds out there is nothing more to exploit is on to the next person to leach/bitch… very typical.

it's easy to say things like "slander" and "taking advantage" without backing it up.

please define how sending a person thousands of dollars of artwork is taking advantage? it's called trust and or credit. a store who is taking in items and not paying for them is in fact taking advantage of a desperate market.

if what I was saying/said were/was/is slander we could go to court… but it's not, it is fact.

I sent stuff out of trust, asked for it's return when I no longer felt comfortable working with cole/feral/wicked and simply asked that it be returned without damage.

it was not.

there wasn't so much as an apology, and of course not taking responsibility for actions or lack there of is what again??? you call it hard working and respectable???

ha! I call it passing the buck.

if I were hiding behind a keyboard I might use the "anonymous" monicker, or I might use your fat, middle aged angry toddler style and simply hide behind "your mom"… but I am not, you see I use my real name, face and fat… want my address mr. your mom? I'd love to deal face to face on this.

your lack of understanding of me or the situation and the accusations you have thrown are in fact slander, so I can see why you hide behind the massively witty "your mom" name. fact is, I have no problem going to war and doing it face to face… really, want that address???

the real fact of the matter is cole and company were real lucky to have me interested and headed to N.C. to premiere a book and film and other art… real lucky, you see my project, unlike yours is actually anticipated by an international community… I've been at this for a long time and have worked real hard at staying active in the underground/dark arts… this seems to be over looked…. hell every point I've made seems to be overlooked.

and regardless of who or what I do… the fact is that I am a hard working artist who is upset that his babies/creations were treated poorly and simply wanted them to make good for the repairs and leave me the fuck alone.

now I have to deal with a lawyer, go to court and ask for way more than I would because of their bad decisions… because they won't act responsibly and so on.

we now have it on record that the lady at the UPS store would NOT ship the items as prepared by sam and cole because they would have surely broken… this is more fact.

do you think that's professional or that artists who send art in trust should be treated that way???

you're defending cole, a person who is proud of her bad attitude… who has done damage to my art and refuses to take responsibility for it.

I should be in N.C. in like 30-60 days says the lawyer… let's talk in person tough guy.

as far as clemmons, her intent is clear. she has multiple publications done and in the can… do you? she's trying to continue with that. how the hell is that a leach???

you are new to this kid, and I see you're desperate and looking for attention… let me clue you into something… connections in this biz are more valuable than coin… clemmons has those hook-ups. that trumps fat girl with dead mama cash that will soon run out, as will all of her "friends".

My dedication to Wicked Gallery, courtesy of my Uncle Lemmy:

Too Late, Too Late

I see that nothin's changed
Insist on playing games
Some waste of time you are
And you're so popular
Well this is it you bitch
I got to make a switch
You find some other john
I know what's goin' on

Your move what do I have to lose
Stalemate, too late, too late

I thought you were for real
Just one more rip-off deal
Don't give me all that crap
I just escaped your trap
You think you see the joke
But you're just chasin' smoke
'Cos now the thrill is gone
I know what's goin' on

Misunderstanding me
The way you felt so free
I'm gonna jump the gun
I'm gonna cut an' run
Your credibility
Don't cut no ice with me
You're just a feeble con
I know what's goin' on

Dear Fuck Face,

I didn't steal money from anyone. Still waiting to get my things back, J. I tried making arrangements to do this, but I guess it works better for you guys to say I took your money.

Fuck Face: "She then lies to them about how much she will do for them just to get her foot in the door and then, like a cancer, she attempts to destroy from the inside out."

What door? what didn't I do for you and your group? Fact: Ads, features on you, and your friends in every issue. Seriously, I did what I could. Not sure what else I could have done.

Searches out young people? Oh yeah? What did I take? What did they give me? A better question: What did I give them?

"like a cancer" pretty low, even for you.

I don't need you or anyone to open doors for me. I open my own doors, and I close them too.

My mistake: I thought I saw a group of good people. I offered what I had. They ate it up and then turned their backs on me. They ran their mouths (slander). Even when I was being treated badly, I still promoted them, and believed in what they were doing. If that's what you call fraud and lies, then I'm an idiot for ever believing in the first place. This whole situation has changed my life. Really. It has damaged me in a very deep place. Great job. Hats off to you.

My magazine was something you and your friends believed in, and when I needed your support the most, well, I guess we see what happened.

For the record, long before any of this happened, Shane Bugbee would have been that guy you wanted to help. The guy that got screwed over. It would have made for a perfect swack call. But you're to caught up now. everyone's too preachy and has to be right. Certain things have been forgotten and/or overlooked. Facts are hanging out in limbo and it's just easier to jump into the circle of bullshit. I get it. we've all been there. Take care. Oh, and fuck off. <3

Sorry, Shane. Feel free to delete this.

i know how to fix it...3 easy steps

1)Wicked Gallery:go buy a box of used kitchen knives from the thrift store, then get a bucket of sheetrock plaster from Home Depot and very CAREFULLY pack and ship
2)Shane Bugabee:take said items and in spare time when not trying to profit off people's dying breaths, nuthugging serial killers and being the Sueing Satanist
3)Dip knife handles in bucket of plaster and make AWESOME new art to send to new galleries....

now how easy was that??

christine, this is what do nothing and wanna bes do... the come to those doing, suck them dry and move on.

there's no longevity in that... none. I've seen this before many times and it always ends the same.

watch how quick they change once your new issue/mag hits.

Shane,

They won't come around. Pride is a powerful force, especially when it's based on bullshit. They have their own thing. They have each other to suck up too, and team up with. I'm done. Have been for awhile, on the surface anyway.

I'm sorry I made it about me. I regretted leaving my last comment as soon as i hit the post button. It's hard to ignore attacks like that.

I'm truly sorry for the damages to your work and for the immature, hurtful comments made about you. So wrong!!

See ya in the next issue Mr. Awesome! Tootles :)

@ jimmy carter.

1. you're a real pussy not signing your name to your b.s.
2. that's something I'd NEVER do.
3. try addressing one point I've made... without the funny suggestions.

so some of the knives I sent aren't all that... so let's talk the devil stick or other pieces not one of you could do... well, you could recreate what I've done, but the use of materials and how I do what I do... that's mine all mine, a new way, something fresh... something I doubt you'd know anything about.

really jimmy carter, how is it that you defend irresponsibility??

a quick lesson/gift for you and the wicked/feral crew.
next time someone has an issue and asks nicely, answer nicely.
if the issue becomes a problem, make it stop before you have a situation.

pretty simple, huh?

this isn't a bedroom and the dominance submission game don't play in business.

another tip… when you have an issue turned problem, ask the person " how can we work this out, how can I make you happy." I've food that this works for the most part. there is always the exception to the rule, the guy/gal who will think their owed and you'll fell their not… so, what I do is, let's say a jerk says I owe them $100 and I feel I do not and the issue has become a problem.. I offer to meet the person 1/2 way, I'll try and settle for 1/2 and if the person on the other end isn't satisfied I understand they were wrong and I have no problem with the situation that is about to arise.

really, you're running a business USING other names/fames and talent… you have an obligation to not make enemies on their behalf.

@Christine Clemmons - no apologies necessary… I've been thru what you're going thru a bunch.
I'm not saying their pride/ego won't keep them from progressing… it obviously has… I mean, this is soooo high school, for art that's cool but for biz, not so much.
