our trip on the train and eating our way across chicago...
amy and myself have been together in a legal sense for 13 years as of sept 21st... we decided to jump the train to chicago to celebrate...
we had a picnic of wine, crackers, cheese, sausage, nuts, seeds and apples... amtrak's food is rotten - trader joe's aint.
we decided to bring 4 camera's each and we'd try to take a ton of photos.
I love the train because of the wild mix of folk you meet.
and the religious fanatics always seem to despise all who differ.
but they have no choice...
they gotta deal... and that's where the fun for me comes in.
the lounge car is truly a bully pulpit at times.
chicago's greek town is always a blast... filo dough, feta and honey - awesome!
the parthenon has the BEST gyros in the fucking world!!!
burritos as big as your head.
my good pal mike - a brother till the end - known him over 20 years.
in elgin the only friendly/happy folks you'll find ride the bus... they, for the most part are foreigners and the genetically challenged...
the rest of elgin, il - unfriendly consumers void of all - a real wasteland of working class who like to pretend their middle class and the middle class who mix with the workers in order to make themselves feel better.
I'm having a blast and feel real lucky to have found amy - the best gal around - a true friend - always.
more from the road soon.
